Noortje’s art opens the eye to what we can find in our nature and our subconscious surroundings. New layers reveal through old patterns as we follow the flow on our natural path of life. Always growing and expanding like roots, Noortje's work invites you on a journey of wonder, as what you see today, might show itself from an other perspective tomorrow.  A reminder to ourselves our first sight might not be the only truth and our eye sees more we view from the heart.  Noortje's paintings show emotions and symbolism without shame or judgement and empress a compassionate view on our earthly experience.

Noortje’s colourful paintings are made with acrylic, oil pains and natural paints. Her style is recognizable by her intuitive working with swirly lines and many layers, sometimes combined with more realistic images.

Noortje has exposed her work in several cities in the Netherlands, like Delft, Enschede and Dalfsen and on Aruba. She decorated spaces and set up expositions for others and herself and collaborated with many artists, also shown at her studio on Aruba. Her works sold all over the world.

Noortje is born in the Netherlands and lives on Aruba, where her work is created and shown in her Art Roots Studio, part of 'Art Roots Event Centre' Triple Gorilla Studio's. 

At this studio you can not only see and purchase art from Noortje, you can also book events, services and order personal artworks.  Surrounding Noortje's art are artworks show from local and international fine artist that somehow connected to Noortje, by her childhood, her art collaborations and travels. Visiting Art Roots Studio is a cultural experience that inspires many to expand their vision on life.
